After testing numerous tents suitable for motorcycle outings, ranging from entry-level models to more expensive professional versions, we finally found one that really stands out: the Tente de camping – 2 SECONDS EASY – 2 places – Fresh & Black from Decathlon. Here’s our feedback on this model, which proves to be a solid choice for bikers.
Please note that this is not a sponsored post, we gain nothing by promoting this tent, it’s just our opinion 😊
Our opinion on the Tente 2 SECONDS EASY Fresh & Black
The first thing that strikes you about this tent is how easy it is to set up. As its name suggests, it can be set up and folded away in the blink of an eye. This comes in really handy when you’re changing location regularly, as is often the case on a motorcycle road trip. No need to spend time setting it up or taking it down after a long day on the road.
In terms of space, it’s well designed for two people with equipment. We were able to store our gear comfortably, including helmets, jackets and boots. Admittedly, it’s not an ultra-spacious tent, but it offers sufficient space for practical, functional use. Weighing in at 5 kg, it remains relatively light and compact (60 x 20 cm when folded), making it easy to transport on the bike.
5 tents tested this summer
Reactive Outdoor (€120): Ultra-light, yes, but also very fragile. It’s barely waterproof and cruelly lacks space. Verdict: to be avoided, in our opinion.
MT900 from Décathlon (€250): Lightweight with well-thought-out storage space for gear, but its main drawback is the time needed to assemble and disassemble it. Patience required!
MH100 from Décathlon (€60): The most affordable model, but it doesn’t offer much space for gear and is also fairly time-consuming to assemble. To be preferred if budget is your priority.
Mototente by Lonerider (€500): A real palace! With its immense space, you can even house your motorcycle. And despite its size, it takes up no more space when folded than Décathlon’s 2 Seconds Easy. Its only drawback? Assembling and dismantling it is a real headache.
Practical tip: complete with XLMOTO 32L waterproof bag
In our tests, we found that the XLMOTO 32L Waterproof Bag is a particularly well-suited accessory for this tent. As well as protecting the tent from moisture, its dimensions match almost perfectly. For an extra €30, it’s a good investment to keep your gear dry, which is essential on extended outings.
Verdict
In short, the 2 SECONDS EASY Fresh & Black Tent proves effective and well-designed for bikers looking for a practical, affordable and quick-to-install solution. If you’re planning a road trip, this is an option to be seriously considered, especially when combined with the waterproof carry bag for optimum protection.
