1. What is this partnership for?
The principle is simple: every time a user books accommodation on booking.com through the 68° app, a small commission is paid to 68°.
Specifically, this represents approximately €2 to €4 per night booked.
This mechanism allows us to fund the development and improvement of the app without impacting either:
- the price paid by the user
- or the accommodation’s revenue
In other words, everyone wins, with no additional cost.
It’s simply Booking.com sharing part of its margin with 68°.
2. How does it work in the app?
The integration is designed to be natural and useful, wherever you are in your journey.
There are 3 ways to book via 68°:
• While planning your road trip
When you create your route (menu Create), you can search for accommodations directly along your route.
It’s ideal for organizing your stops in advance, without leaving your planning.
• While you’re riding
In navigation mode, you have access to nearby accommodation search.
Perfect for:
- improvising a stop
- handling an unexpected situation
- or simply stopping when you feel like it
• Via the “Book” menu
This menu works as a direct access to booking.com, even outside of a road trip.
You can use it for:
- a weekend
- a business trip
- vacations without a vehicle
3. Does this change anything for you?
Very honestly: no, absolutely nothing.
- You don’t pay more
- Your habits remain the same
- If you’re a Genius member, you keep all your benefits
- Your bookings continue to count toward advancing your status
👉 It’s strictly identical to a regular booking on booking.com
👉 Except that by going through 68°, you directly support the app
4. Why is this important?
This partnership allows 68° to:
- continue offering a solid free version
- constantly improve features
- develop new services for road trippers
And all of this, without intrusive advertising or extra costs for users.
In short
Using 68° to book your accommodations via booking.com is a simple gesture:
👉 You don’t change any of your habits
👉 You don’t pay more
👉 But you directly contribute to the app’s development
And that, on a road trip, is a pretty good mechanism.
